Studying can easily be one of the hardest aspects of being a student. Everyone has to develop a study method that works for them, whether it be flashcards, spaced repetition, or note taking, everyone studies differently. However, along with these study methods, it can be helpful to have someone to explain complex concepts in depth or even get you prepared for an important test like an AP exam. Here are some of the best YouTube channels for student success.

Math:

Mario’s Math Tutoring: Mario teaches a wide variety of topics ranging from basic fractions to pre-calculus, making him a strong choice for math learning for all ages. His videos are short and easy to digest. He also makes videos for SAT and ACT math, perfect for high schoolers aiming to ace the math section of the respective tests.

Krista King Math: Like Mario, Krista’s videos cover a wide range of math topics from geometry to calculus, but she mainly focuses on calculus, specifically AP Calculus AB and BC. Her videos range from short videos the length of reels to hour-long videos for more in-depth unit reviews, reserved for AP Calculus content. Krista’s creative thumbnails and fun teaching style makes her an excellent choice for learning math online.

Science:

The Organic Chemistry Tutor: While the name may be intimidating, considering organic chemistry is mainly taught to pre-med college students, this YouTuber teaches a variety of topics that are at not only the college level, but the high school level as well. The topics taught on this channel range from biology to organic chemistry. This channel also teaches math such as trigonometry and statistics as well as important life skills pertaining to math such as stocks and bonds and personal finance, making this channel a one-stop-shop for STEM.

Science with Susanna: This fun, interactive science channel is perfect for learning a wide range of science topics including animal and human biology and human anatomy and physiology. The videos on this channel include in-depth photos that are great for those who are visual learners. Susanna’s videos are also not too long, which makes them easy to follow and understand.

History:

Heimler’s History: Perhaps the most well-known internet teacher, Heimler gives comprehensive videos about AP European History, AP U.S. History, AP World History, and AP Government and Politics. His content length ranges depending on what he is teaching. For example, AP Government landmark case reviews are around four minutes long while course review videos are thirty minutes or more.

CrashCourse: CrashCourse is not taught by one person, but different people based on what is being taught. While CrashCourse does have videos on other subjects such as science, they mainly focus on history. Their videos are not extremely long, but are still in-depth and cover a variety of topics within history.

In summary, all of these YouTubers are excellent in their fields and should be watched. Implementing even some of the content posted by these YouTubers into your study routine can be beneficial, not just if you are struggling with a topic.
