With every new member, Connect Me continues to expand its growth across the world. Our Connect Me chapters further help the organization raise its impact. They have been doing incredible work to support their local communities and foster an impact of tutoring.

A chapter is a branch of a larger organization that strives to achieve the larger organization’s common goal. Each of these Connect Me chapters are founded and led by our tutors who have a passion for tutoring and continuing to help expand Connect Me’s mission in their communities. Many of these chapters from all over the nation started up this school year and have made incredible progress since their establishment.

Led by co-presidents Amrutha D. and Swara J., the Dunlap High School chapter in Illinois has made great progress in its first few months. They currently have 20 members recruited, 10 of whom are actively volunteering as tutors in Connect Me.

Their future vision for their chapter includes expanding their tutoring efforts by planning to connect with their local library to increase tutoring opportunities in their community. Another one of their goals is to connect with their local elementary school to establish a pen pal program to promote communication across age groups. In addition, they are organizing a bake sale in the early months of next year, which will help fund their tutoring initiatives.

Swara shared that their fundraising efforts have already brought in $50. They also aim to engage members in creative endeavors like designing Connect Me’s t-shirts and creating social media content, such as Instagram reels, which will raise awareness about their mission and recruit more tutors.

At the Cypress Ranch chapter, co-president Samy has 95% of her members already registered as Connect Me tutors. After starting this chapter after noticing how many of her peers were interested in the education field, Samy is focused on continuing to recruit passionate members who want to help others and give back to their community.

One of her future plans is to also design t-shirts for an upcoming event, the Connect Me Olympics, which is a competition for all Connect Me chapters encouraged to partake in to win a fun prize.

The Clovis North chapter of Connect Me took part in their school’s homecoming parade, proudly showcasing their involvement in the community. Members of the chapter participated in the event by holding up a large poster that promoted their chapter’s pen pal program. By being part of the parade, they not only showed school spirit but also raised awareness about the organization’s mission to support mentorship and give back to the community, encouraging more students to get involved and make a difference.

The growth of Connect Me chapters across the nation shows how dedicated our tutors are to expanding our mission in their communities. Each chapter has been working to create a supportive environment that makes a difference for students everywhere and helps build a brighter future.
