Connect Me is a 100% student-run organization with high schoolers who have a passion for helping our community. Right now, as our society faces the challenge of COVID-19, the community is pulling through together, and we want to also contribute by providing tutoring to students who need extra support.

Meet the Board
Mehmet Tascioglu is an 11th grader at Northville High School. He formed Connect Me to support students in maintaining their academic success even with COVID-19. He also runs his own educational YouTube channel called Academic Games Tips, Tricks and Tutorials, which showcases his teaching and mentoring. Other extracurricular activities include training as a black belt in Taekwondo, playing in the MPYO Orchestra, serving as a HOSA Event Leader, and serving as President of both the NHS Ping-Pong Club and the Turkish American Cultural Association of Michigan's High School Chapter. During his free time, Mehmet likes to read the news, hang out with his friends, and take walks at the park.
Quinn Cassar is a junior at Northville High School. He loves to help others and thinks that Connect Me is a great way to achieve that. He loves to play board games with his friends, play tennis, and play the violin. His favorite subjects are math and science and he hopes to pursue those fields in college.
Kaustuv Mukherjee is a junior at Northville High School. He joined Connect Me to nurture his passion for teaching and to help kids in need during the pandemic. He has much experience in the tutoring field, and has a firm knowledge of the core classes up to the high school level. In his free time, he enjoys browsing YouTube, bowling, and sketching.
Director of Marketing
Emir Tascioglu is a 9th grader at Northville High School. He entered the Connect Me team due to his passion for not only helping other fellow students, but also for marketing and business. He's responsible for contacting schools, businesses, and influencers for partnerships to grow Connect Me. In his free time, Emir plays for a nationals soccer team and is also a member of the Business Professionals of America and the Turkish-American Cultural Association of Michigan's High School Chapter. He also enjoys exercising, dabbling in the stock market, and playing the trumpet.
Ilayda Yeni is a freshman at Stevenson High School in Livonia, Michigan. As an empath, Ilayda embraces Connect Me's mission of supporting students and giving back to the community through her organizational and interpersonal skills as the organization's Secretary. Tutoring comes naturally to her, as she enjoys seeing students succeed in their academics. She also demonstrates her leadership skills as Treasurer of the Turkish-American Cultural Association of Michigan's High School Chapter. Finally, some of the young adult's hobbies include playing the piano, listening to music, and chatting with her friends.
Director of Technology
Eren Okuyucu is an 11th grader at PCEP. He joined Connect Me to help from behind the curtains, and currently is in charge of the Connect Me social media accounts and helping with technical difficulties. He is also the vice president of Turkish American Cultural Association of Michigan's High School Chapter, a form for him to connect with his culture. He also plays the piano, in which he has won various awards for at festivals, and plays tenor drums in his school's marching band and winter percussion program. He enjoys fiddling with various bits of technology, playing video games, and listening to music. In the future, Eren aspires to study at the University of Michigan and move towards his career goals as a mechanical engineer.
Director of Communications
Camille Johnson is a junior at Renaissance High School in Detroit, Michigan. She joined Connect Me with hopes to make tutoring resources more accessible to students in her community. She is the active Co-Captain of her high school’s Robotics team (Team 2224 Robo Phoenix) and is a part of the Minds Matter Detroit Chapter. Camille is a CIEE Global Navigator where she had the opportunity to visit Mexico for a month to gain more knowledge about the culture and language. In her free time, she enjoys playing the ukulele, guitar, and bass guitar. Camille also spends her downtime studying Spanish and Korean, using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and browsing YouTube. After high school, Camille aspires to go to the University of Michigan to study Engineering.
Director of Applications
Meghana Ramoju is an 11th grader at Dunlap High School. She has joined Connect Me to help nurture the growth of students during the current pandemic. She is currently the Director of Applications at Connect Me. Additionally, she is a Graphic Designer for Revamp Youth Foundation, an organization that aims to help students with their studies by creating various programs to ignite their creativity. She is also involved in her school’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter, Interact Club, and Art Club. Furthermore, Meghana is a dancer at Ishana Dance Academy. She also enjoys taking an active role in supporting her community, as she volunteers at her local food bank and is a Youth Coordinator at PATA (Peoria Area Telugu Association). During her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, drawing, painting, reading, playing chess, and dancing.
