Connect Me is a 100% student-run organization from high-achieving volunteers who have a passion for helping our community. Right now, as our society faces the challenge of COVID-19, the community is pulling through together, and we want to also contribute by providing tutoring to students who need extra support.

Meet the Board
Mehmet Tascioglu is a 12th grader at Northville High School. He founded Connect Me to support students in maintaining their academic success after witnessing systemic educational inequality firsthand. He also runs his own educational YouTube channel called Academic Games Tips, Tricks and Tutorials, which showcases his teaching and mentoring skills. Other extracurricular activities include training as a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo, playing in the MPYO Orchestra, serving as a HOSA Event Leader, serving as President of the NHS Ping-Pong Club, President of the Turkish American Cultural Association of Michigan's Youth Chapter, and President of the Assembly of Turkish American Associations Youth Committee. During his free time, Mehmet likes to read up on healthcare & politics, hang out with his friends, and watch movies.
Vice President, External
Quinn Cassar is a senior at Northville High School. He loves to help others and thinks that Connect Me is a great way to achieve that. He loves to play board games with his friends, play tennis, and play the violin. His favorite subjects are math and science and he hopes to pursue those fields in college.
Vice President, Internal
Kaustuv Mukherjee is a 12th grader at Northville High School. He joined Connect Me to nurture his passion for teaching and to help kids in need during the pandemic. He has much experience in the tutoring field, and has a firm knowledge of the core classes up to the high school level. In his free time, he enjoys browsing YouTube, bowling, and sketching.
Emir Tascioglu is a 10th grader at Northville High School. He entered the Connect Me team due to his passion for not only helping other fellow students, but also for marketing and business. He's responsible for contacting schools, businesses, and influencers for partnerships to grow Connect Me. In his free time, Emir plays for a nationals soccer team and is also a member of the Business Professionals of America and the Turkish-American Cultural Association of Michigan's High School Chapter. He also enjoys exercising, dabbling in the stock market, and playing the trumpet.
Ilayda Yeni is a sophomore at Stevenson High School in Livonia, Michigan. As an empath, Ilayda embraces Connect Me's mission of supporting students and giving back to the community through her organizational and interpersonal skills as the organization's Secretary. Tutoring comes naturally to her, as she enjoys seeing students succeed in their academics. She also demonstrates her leadership skills as Treasurer of the Turkish-American Cultural Association of Michigan's High School Chapter. Finally, some of the young adult's hobbies include playing the piano, listening to music, and chatting with her friends.
Director of Communications
Camille Johnson is a senior at Renaissance High School in Detroit, Michigan. She joined Connect Me with hopes to make tutoring resources more accessible to students in her community. She is the active Co-Captain of her high school’s Robotics team (Team 2224 Robo Phoenix) and is a part of the Minds Matter Detroit Chapter. Camille is a CIEE Global Navigator where she had the opportunity to visit Mexico for a month to gain more knowledge about the culture and language. In her free time, she enjoys playing the ukulele, guitar, and bass guitar. Camille also spends her downtime studying Spanish and Korean, using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and browsing YouTube. After high school, Camille aspires to go to the University of Michigan to study Engineering.
Director of Applications
Meghana Ramoju is an 12th grader at Dunlap High School. She has joined Connect Me to help nurture the growth of students during the current pandemic. She is currently the Director of Applications at Connect Me. Additionally, she is a Graphic Designer for Revamp Youth Foundation, an organization that aims to help students with their studies by creating various programs to ignite their creativity. She is also involved in her school’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter, Interact Club, and Art Club. Furthermore, Meghana is a dancer at Ishana Dance Academy. She also enjoys taking an active role in supporting her community, as she volunteers at her local food bank and is a Youth Coordinator at PATA (Peoria Area Telugu Association). During her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, drawing, painting, reading, playing chess, and dancing.
Chief App Developer
Aaron Marsh is a senior at Renaissance High School. Aaron joined Connect Me to give back to our community and help support kids around the globe by utilizing his skills to build helpful tools. His current role in Connect Me is Chief App Developer, responsible for building Connect Me's iOS and Android mobile applications, launching updates, and fixing bugs. Aaron also participated in a variety of clubs such as Business Professionals Of America, CAY2, and Robotics. In his free time, he spends most of his time on the computer watching YouTube, building new applications, and traveling.
Director of Resources
Akul Gunukula is a 11th Grader at Troy High School. He enjoys helping people and joined Connect Me as it was perfect for helping children. He enjoys playing basketball and learning about science in every field. Some extracurricular activities include serving as Engineering Vice President of Robotics Team FRC 226, Vice President of Physics Club, participating in math competitions, and doing Forensics. His favorite subjects are math and science and plans to pursue those areas in college.
