Recently, Connect Me has received publicity from multiple well-known news sources including ABC and Fox. I spoke with Agastya Kukudala, Connect Me’s Director of Advertising.

What was the process of securing these news appearances like?

“We email thousands upon thousands of news stations and relevant news network contacts, but we only get a few responses for the hundreds we send out every week. Most are paid, some are not. Our president and sometimes members of the BOD take up these interviews online.”

Were some harder than others to get?

“Of the responses we get [from some news sources], only a few discuss news appearance opportunities.”

The Advertising Department works diligently to secure publicity for the nonprofit. Through these news appearances, Connect Me hopes to see an influx in students.
